Pittsburgh Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger takes playful shot at Cleveland Browns

Ben Roethlisberger is still beating the Cleveland Browns since retiring after the 2021 season.

Metaphorically speaking, this time.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ face of the franchise for nearly two decades took a shot at the Browns on the latest episode of his podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger.

With high-profile players Aaron Rodgers and Jalen Ramsey joining the Steelers, Roethlisberger and co-host Spence were discussing what it would be like to play for another team and adapt to their culture.

Spence threw out the idea of Ray Lewis being a Steeler. Hard to imagine even in an alternate universe, but Lewis would understand “Steeler DNA” and the culture.

Roethlisberger said he would fit in Baltimore because it’s “tough-nosed and physical.”

When thinking of the AFC North team he wouldn’t mess well with, Big Ben went back to his home state.

“It would be hard to fit into Cleveland because I win,” Roethlisberger said.

The comment made Spence immediately laugh, and Ben quickly retorted that he was just joking.

“I’m sorry. Just joking, just joking,” Roethlisberger said. “Love that fan base.”

Roethlisberger finished his career 26-2-1 against the Browns. He threw for 6,896 yards, 43 touchdowns, 23 interceptions, and completed 62.1% of his passes in 29 games.

Yinzers will probably chalk this one up as win No. 27.
