The Los Angeles Chargers have officially listed starting quarterback Justin Herbert as questionable for Week 3’s showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s currently dealing with a high ankle sprain suffered in Week 2.

#LACvsPIT game status

QUESTIONABLE — Justin Herbert, Joshua Palmer, Bud Dupree, Alohi Gilman, Ja’sir Taylor

OUT — Junior Colson

— Los Angeles Chargers (@chargers) September 20, 2024

Easton Stick is the team’s backup, having started four games last season while Herbert dealt with a broken index finger last year. The Chargers went 0-4 in that span, while Stick completed 63.8% of passes for 1,129 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception. He also took 12 sacks over his four starts, though he didn’t have the luxury of playing behind star rookie RT Joe Alt.

Among the others who are questionable are WR Joshua Palmer (elbow/calf), former Pittsburgh Steeler Bud Dupree (illness), DB Ja’Sir Taylor (fibula) and safety Alohi Gilman (knee). Of that bunch, Palmer, Taylor and Gilman are not new injuries, but only Gilman missed last week’s contest.

Out for the game is rookie linebacker Junior Colson, dealing with a hamstring injury.

The Steelers are currently favored at -3 on FanDuel Sportsbook with the over/under at an astoundingly low 34.5 points.
