Through two games, the Steelers' defense has allowed a grand total of just 16 points. Safety DeShon Elliott, one of the league’s most under-appreciated offseason signings, has played a pivotal part in their success. Elliott signed a two-year 6 million dollar deal this offseason – and so far, he’s been worth every penny.

While appearing on “The Sick Podcast, Steelers Crazy,” Elliott spoke highly of the defense — a unit that currently ranks second in the NFL in points allowed per game.

Considering he spent 2019-2021 with the Baltimore Ravens, a team littered with talent, this is quite the statement.

Elliott said the black and gold have “a great front-seven” and called ILB Patrick Queen “the big general.”

Elliott, the big general, and the Steelers will look to improve to 2-0 against the only defense who has allowed less points than them through two weeks – the Los Angeles Chargers, this Sunday in their home opener at Acrisure Stadium.
