Entering a big Week 3 contest both the Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers sit atop their respective divisions at 2-0.

The Chargers walk into Acrisure Stadium with two impressive wins over the Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers. A stingy Chargers defense has allowed just 13 points through the two weeks (best in the NFL). Edge rushers Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa could pose a problem to a banged-up Steelers offensive line.

Their offense has looked exquisite as well with new acquisition J.K. Dobbins balling out through two weeks. Dobbins leads the NFL with 266 rush yards after back-to-back weeks with 130+. Aside from Dobbins, quarterback Justin Herbert looks as good as new even after losing his two biggest aerial weapons Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this offseason. Herbert remains questionable ahead of the contest laboring a high ankle sprain from the week prior.

Whether it is Herbert or Easton Stick the Steelers’ defense comes in with something to prove. Many believe the Steelers have the best defense in the NFL, they sit just behind the Chargers in almost every statistic through two weeks.

On the offensive side of things, the Steelers have just one touchdown this season and must be better if they hope to be 3-0. Troy Fautanu was recently placed on injured reserve and will not play vs. the Chargers. With this being the case, Broderick Jones will get the call to start after being benched just a week ago. He and Dan Moore Jr. will have the task of fending off Bosa and Mack in this important clash.
