Dallas Cowboys WR George Pickens says he forced trade from Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have made multiple trades this offseason at the wide receiver position. In March, they acquired Pro Bowler DK Metcalf from the Seattle Seahawks and immediately gave him a big-money extension. At the beginning of May, the Steelers then shipped star wideout George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys.

Pickens has remained largely silent on the matter until today. He seemed to be getting a lot off his chest, replying to a video running down his antics in Pittsburgh.

“Lmaoo, I play for the Cowboys,” Pickens said. “Now stop reminiscing, bro. And trying to justify the trade, y’all just lost another good player to fake reports like this one.”

Another fan commented in reply to Pickens, saying the wide receiver was a problem and that’s why he was dealt, to which Pickens said he forced his way out of Pittsburgh.

“I forced buddy,” Pickens said. “They were gladly keeping me. Have a nice day and a blessed one my guy.”

The posts have since been deleted, but Nick Farabugh of PennLive posted screenshots in a recent column.

Pickens previously said he did not force a trade, but he seems to be retracting those statements.
