LeSean McCoy ignorantly calls out Pittsburgh Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger

The Pittsburgh Steelers are slowly but surely inching closer to training camp. And while they take their summer break for the next handful of weeks, their former quarterback is finding his way into headlines.

On the latest edition of Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, the two-time Super Bowl champion said he would take prime Aaron Rodgers over Patrick Mahomes.

“Well, I would take Aaron in his prime over Patrick now,” Roethlisberger said. “I think Aaron Rodgers in his prime was one of the top few to ever do it – and so is Patrick Mahomes at his prime. Patrick Mahomes is just entering [getting] out of his prime, I think.”

And while Roethlisberger made it clear this was no slight on Mahomes, rather just praise for Rodgers, former running back and current Fox Sports analyst LeSean McCoy called out Roethlisberger on The Facility.

“Big Ben hates,” McCoy said. “One thing about Big Ben, [when] you play 18 years, you have no All-Pros – not one. Not one First-Team, not one Second-Team. This is just me, I don’t respect players that talk about greats a certain way and you have nowhere the type of success they had. You played for 18 years, and you never was considered the best quarterback or the second-best quarterback in football.”

They must be running short on hot takes that lack any sign of intelligence over at FS1.

For what it’s worth, McCoy was 0-2 for his career against Roethlisberger, and Big Ben ranks in the top 10 in just about every major passing statistic.
