Son of Steelers RB coach invited to rookie minicamp

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been busy since the end of the 2025 NFL Draft. They have signed several undrafted free agents, which you can keep track of with our Steelers UDFA tracker. Pittsburgh has also invited multiple players to rookie mini-camp, including the son of running backs coach Eddie Faulkner, defensive back Eddier Faulkner IV.

The younger Faulkner was a standout at Slippery Rock University. In his four years with The Rock, Faulkner totaled seven interceptions, 160 tackles, and 15 tackles for loss.

This is far from the first time the Steelers have stayed close to the family. Just this year, they drafted Carson Burener, the son of former Steelers tight end Mark Bruener. Cam Heyward’s brother Connor, of course, is still on the team. Derek Watt was also on the roster from 2020-22. Terrell Edmunds’ brother, Trey, spent time with the Steelers.
