The 2025 NFL Pro Bowl Games are right around the corner, and the Pittsburgh Steelers will have several players in representation. Among those to make the roster are DT Cameron Heyward, OLB T.J. Watt, FS Minkah Fitzpatrick and PK Chris Boswell — all of them “starters” rather than alternates. It was the seventh Pro Bowl selection for Heyward and Watt, while Fitzpatrick earned his fifth selection and Boswell his second.

Fitzpatrick is arguably the most surprising selection of the year, with Heyward playing at an All-Pro level, Watt earning team MVP honors and Boswell leading the league with 40 field goals made this year. Fitzpatrick had been on a bit of a dry spell in terms of production for the last year, nabbing his first interception dating back to the 2023 season just weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens. Fitzpatrick has allowed a career-high 130.5 NFL passer rating in coverage this year, including five touchdowns as the nearest receiver in coverage, tied for the second-lowest rushing defense grade from PFF in his career.

Pittsburgh had the second-most Pro Bowl selections among AFC North teams. The Baltimore Ravens earned nine selections, while the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals each earned three. Notably, the Steelers were the only AFC North team without a wide receiver selected in this year’s games, with Ja’Marr Chase, Jerry Jeudy and Zay Flowers each earning Pro Bowl honors.

The Pro Bowl Games are set for February 2, 2025 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, with this being the second iteration of the new skills competition-style game. This year, the Skills Showdown competition will be held Thursday, January 30 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET, broadcasting live on ESPN, and the Pro Bowl Games Championship flag football game is set for Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Peyton Manning will return to coach the AFC, while brother Eli will coach the NFC.
