More bad news for the Pittsburgh Steelers, unfortunately, as defensive tackle Cam Heyward was banged up in Week 17, briefly exiting the game with what was an apparent right knee injury. After an injury timeout, Heyward was able to leave the field under his own power and eventually returned to the game. Good news, but something fans will need to monitor closely heading into Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, as Joe Burrow & Co. look to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Steelers will have 11 days until their next matchup — a home game against Cincy — which gives them some extra time to work through any remaining ailments.
At the age of 35, Heyward is having a season that should arguably put him in the conversation for Defensive Player of the Year with 8.0 sacks, 19 QB hits and 11 tackles for loss.
