Steelers news: Pittsburgh offensive lineman makes first career Pro Bowl Games

With the NFL’s Championship Sunday in the rearview mirror, the 2025 Pro Bowl Games are set to kick off the weekend before Feb. 9’s Super Bowl. As a result, the roster for the event is being finalized this week, with multiple stars dropping out.

One player to benefit from the shakeup is Pittsburgh’s offensive guard Isaac Seumalo. His agent posted that the Steelers lineman will be making his first career Pro Bowl in 2025 as an alternate.

Seumalo is the first Steelers offensive player to make the Pro Bowl since Najee Harris and Diontae Johnson made it as alternates following the 2021-22 season. The honor is a nice addition to Seumalo’s career; the guard already won a Super Bowl as a starter for the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.

The veteran guard, 31, started 13 games for the Steelers this season.

Seumalo will be joining fellow Steelers Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cam Heyward, Chris Boswell, and Miles Killebrew at the Pro Bowl. T.J. Watt was voted onto the roster but dropped out due to injury.

The games will be held in Orlando, Fla. this year, starting on Thursday, Jan. 30 with the “Skills Showdown,” and ending on Sunday, Feb. 2 with a flag football that starts at 3 p.m. ET.

Both events will be televised on ESPN, with the flag football game also being available on ABC.
