The Pittsburgh Steelers have gotten very good production out of their new quarterback room. While Russell Wilson has gone 6-4 as a starter, the season began with Justin Fields as the starter for the first six games, where he led the Steelers to a 4-2 record while putting up 10 total scores.
Both Wilson and Fields are in Pittsburgh on one-year deals, but Fields has made it very clear that he wants to be a Steeler in 2025.
“I want to be here,” Fields told Kevin Gorman of TribLive. “I’m kind of tired of learning a new offense every year. This will be my third in four years. Of course I’d love to be back, but that’s all up to God at the end of the day. I’ll be where God wants me to be.”
Fields is still just 25 and will be 26 when the 2025 season begins. With how well he played in the first six games of the year, he showed the potential to be a solid starting quarterback, which is why the Steelers should do what they can to keep him around.
